Teenagers find it easier to keep their guard up while hiding behind the screens. They have started feeling too comfortable with the online communication that they now find it intense and direct. While in actual, it would become quite difficult for them to negotiate the complex problems with their partners, lovers, friends, or family members. Also, the side effects of withdrawing from social media websites on teenagers are quite similar to drug detox or withdrawal. This way, the people and the relationships around them would also suffer because of them. It can lead to severe depression and anxiety if not treated well on time.
