The unavailability of pure water nowadays can lead to catastrophic consequences in the long run. Moreover, the chemical substance and waste material coming from industries and factories keep on lying on the main water bodies for days and months. It makes the water impure and toxic for drinking, laundry, and other uses. So, pollution is one of the major reasons why we are facing a shortage of fresh water. Also, the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides is adding to the problem.

Even the higher authorities should play their role by actively arranging campaigns and participating in them to create awareness among people regarding water issues.

The earth’s surface consists of 70% water while only 2.5% of it can be used for drinking. So, water is one of the most scarce resources that human needs to consume to function their routine lives. We can use different tricks as well to keep the water saved and available for a longer period. For instance, we can install canals on our rooftops to redirect the rainwater and then use it for other purposes. We should water plants in the evening to reduce evaporation. And those who prefer taking a shower must start using water in buckets to save more of it. Also, keep the tap off while washing your face or brushing your teeth. Above all, we should educate our children about the importance of water saving.
