The literal meaning of pollution depicts as the action, which is taken to make something unclean, impure, or foul. But what we generally mean by pollution is the addition of hazardous substances in the environment. It can occur at any level i.e. physical, chemical, thermal, or radiation. Since it affects the quality of air, soil, and water, it becomes difficult for human beings, plants, and animals to live in such unsuitable surroundings.
Since it has become a global issue, it is really important to address it properly on an international level to minimize its harmful impacts. It doesn’t only cause disastrous changes in the environment but also leads to disruption in the routine process of human beings and other living creatures. However, first of all, you should be aware of the general types of pollution to be able to take proper steps towards the improvement of your environment.
Water pollution is one of its kinds which is caused by the increase of toxic chemical and pollutants in water. It is spread worldwide as almost every single person in different countries is deprived of clean water and drainage system. It happens due to the continuous release of oils, pollutants, and metals in urban areas which get into the sewage pipes and other water sources. Even the seas are continuously being contaminated due to harmful substances.
The soil is also being polluted by the disposal of hazardous waste materials. It causes numerous health issues because of the polluted soil which adds the chemicals into the water and food consumed by human beings on a daily basis. It is an increasing issue which needs to be controlled by the authorities and government to ensure the health and life security of every human being in this world.

It ends up causing air pollution by affecting the quality of air in which we breathe in. It happens due to thermal and biochemical reactions. In severe cases, it can cause deafness by affecting the eardrums. It is also the least considered and concerned issue which needs to get into the highlights like other types of pollution.
Since the problem of pollution is rooted in our economy and society, it needs to be eradicated by making progressive changes in the environment. It is suggested to encourage the plantation in different areas of this world to reduce the harmful impacts of pollutants on the environment. Moreover, the need of the hour is to get the boundaries drawn by biologists and the strategies developed by economists to help shape the life of a community.
